Boat Lifts · SW Michigan & NW Indiana

Boat lifts. Sales, install, seasonal service.

What we do

Lift types we sell, install, and service.

The wrong boat lift will frustrate you every weekend. The right one disappears into the background and lets you spend your time on the water instead of fighting your hardware. We carry vertical, cantilever, hydraulic, and floating lift systems sized for everything from a 12-foot fishing boat to a 28-foot tritoon.

Every lift install includes a free site evaluation, exact weight capacity sizing, integration with your existing dock, and full electrical hookup if you've chosen a hydraulic or electric system. Seasonal customers get install/removal as part of their annual package — no separate trip charges.

Vertical & Cantilever

Standard residential lifts in 2,500 to 7,000 lb capacities. The right call for shallower bottoms and most inland lakes.

Pontoon & Tritoon

Wide-frame lifts engineered for the longer beam of pontoon and tritoon hulls. Available in capacities up to 8,500 lbs.

PWC & Floating

Personal watercraft lifts and floating drive-on systems for jet skis. Quick to relocate as your shoreline changes.

Frequently asked

Questions homeowners ask us.

How much does a boat lift cost installed in SW Michigan?

Standard residential vertical lifts run $4,500–$9,500 installed. Hydraulic and tritoon-capacity lifts run $8,500–$18,000. Captain's Choice handles delivery, installation, and electrical hookup as one line item — no surprises.

Do I need to remove my boat lift in winter?

On Lake Michigan and bays where ice push is a concern, yes — most lifts come out for the season. On most SW Michigan inland lakes, lifts can stay in year-round if engineered for it. We'll tell you which makes sense for your specific shoreline.

Can you service a boat lift you didn't install?

Absolutely. We service every major brand sold in Berrien, Cass, St. Joseph, and Van Buren counties — repairs, motor replacement, cable swaps, and seasonal install/removal even if Captain's Choice wasn't the original installer.

What boat lift brands do you carry?

We carry Bulmann, Hewitt, ShoreStation, Hi-Tide, and several other regional brands. We're brand-agnostic — we'll recommend whatever's right for your lake bottom, your boat, and your budget.
